Welcome To Redeemed Community

What does it mean to be Redeemed?

The word redeemed has two main meanings. The first is to buy something back, to pay a price for something. This describes those who have surrendered their lives to follow Christ. Our lives have been redeemed by the sacrifice God made for His created in order to have the eternal relationship with Him we were always designed to have.

The second meaning of redeemed is to fix or bring back something that was broken. God loves us and sees our true worth, regardless if we’ve made mistakes or feel like we’ve lost our value. Even when we or others think we can’t be fixed, God has never changed His view of our worth and speaks life & value back into His creation. He gives us new life and reminds us that we were made in His image. The same God who created everything calls us “very good,” no matter what the world says about us.

Daily, we are thankful we have been Redeemed!

We will be the church before we do church

We will be the church before we do church

We will be the church before we do church

We will be the church before we do church

Ha, made you click! While the statement above is a bit provocative it does reflect a big part of who we are as a community of believers. We love our Sunday gatherings as they provide a great opportunity for fellowship, discipleship, and corporate worship. It is designed for those who already acknowledge God as creator, Jesus as saviour, and Holy Spirit as our guide. How we impact our community will be in the what we do outside of our Sunday gatherings. So, when we say “we will be the church before we do church” we are saying that we value helping others know how much God loves them more than the practice of doing church. We see this exemplified in Acts 2 and strive to emulate that in Redeemed Community.
