Why Mattawan?
The short answer? Because God told us to. We love Mattawan. It is our home. Our families attend the schools, work in Mattawan, shop in Mattawan and are a part of the Mattawan Community: like we said, we love Mattawan. But even more important, God loves Mattawan. We are a church that is intensely focused on Mattawan. We want to serve our community. Our calling is to invite all people into a vibrant, life-giving relationship with God—and to disciple them into a life that reflects His love and truth.
Many in Mattawan would say they know God, yet their lives tell a different story. They’re chasing success, comfort, or approval—but not the only One who truly satisfies. And others still don’t know they’re loved by God at all. That’s why Redeemed Community Church exists: to show the people of Mattawan what a life fully surrendered to Jesus really looks like. Jesus calls His followers to bear good fruit, we want to build an orchard—a community of believers who are rooted in Christ and producing good fruit. That takes intentional cultivation: grafting new believers in, discipling them, and growing together.
So what if a church rose up in Mattawan that was radically committed to loving its neighbors? What if a group of people lived their faith so authentically that others couldn’t help but notice the peace, joy, kindness, and hope that radiated from their lives? That kind of church would cause others to ask questions—not with gimmicks, but with transformation. And when they ask where that hope comes from, we’ll be ready to say, “Let us tell you about Jesus.”
