Try Church With Us

We can't wait to meet you this Sunday

Whatever's kept you away, we invite you to try church with us.

We're a group of people working to love God with everything we've got and to love our neighbor. That's it — no hidden agenda, no fine print. If you've ever thought about church but never quite made it through the door, chances are one of the questions below has crossed your mind. So, we figured we'd just answer them honestly, right here, before you ever have to ask.

Not sure if you're welcome?

You absolutely are!

Whatever your background, whatever your doubts, however long it's been, or whatever you think might disqualify you — it doesn't. There's no invisible bar you have to clear before you're allowed in the room. Every single person who walks through the doors is treated as someone worth knowing, not a project to fix. If you were wondering whether that includes you, it does.

Never been invited to church?

Consider this your official invite.

You don't need someone else to vouch for you or walk you in the door — consider this the invitation you've been waiting on. No RSVP required. No need to know anyone before you show up. Just come. We'll take care of the rest.

Haven't been to church in a while?

Try church with us.

Maybe it's been a year. Maybe it's been a lot longer than that. Either way, you don't need an explanation and you won't get an interrogation. Life happens, seasons change, and church sometimes falls off the calendar without anyone deciding it should. We're not here to make you feel guilty about the gap; we're just here to say the door's open whenever you're ready to walk back through it. Come this Sunday, sit in the back if you want, and see what it feels like to try again with no strings attached.

Had a bad experience in the past?

We're sorry that happened. We'd love the chance to earn your trust.

If church has hurt you before — through judgment, hypocrisy, or just feeling used — that's real, and we're not going to tell you it wasn't. We can't undo what happened somewhere else, but we can tell you what we're aiming for here: honesty over performance and people over programs. We don't expect trust to be automatic, and we're not asking for it in advance. We're just asking for one Sunday to start showing you who we actually are.

Don't know what to wear?

We recommend something from your closet.

Seriously — whatever's already hanging in there is exactly right. You'll see jeans and t-shirts next to sundresses and button-downs, sometimes in the same row of seats. Nobody's going to look you up and down when you walk in, and there's no unspoken dress code you accidentally missed the memo on. Come as you are, because that's genuinely who we want to see.

Don't know what to expect?

Here's a real look at a Sunday morning with us.

Services start at 10:00 AM at Mattawan High School. You'll be greeted before you even find a seat; there's a Next Steps table if you want to say hello or ask a question. If you have kids, ages birth - preschool, have their own age-appropriate space with Redeemed Kids while you're in the service. Young 5's - 5th grade start their morning with the adults, then move to Redeemed Kids during the sermon. (Prefer to keep your kids with you the whole time? Feel free!) Worship is casual and live, the message is practical and scripture based, and there's no altar call pressure or awkward "stand up and introduce yourself" moment waiting for you. Come whenever you're ready — we'll have a seat for you.

You have questions about church, God, or Jesus?

We'll find the answers together.

You don't have to show up with your theology sorted out. Some of the most faithful people we know are still asking hard questions, and we'd rather sit with an honest question than pretend everyone here has it all figured out. Whether you're wrestling with something specific or just curious where to start, you're welcome to bring it with you — out loud, over coffee, or quietly in your own head. Nobody's going to rush you toward an answer before you're ready for it.

New to the area?

Come meet some new friends.

Moving somewhere new is disorienting even when it's exciting, and finding your people can take longer than finding a good coffee shop. Church has a way of speeding that up — you're in a room full of people who live near you, raise kids near you, and are generally happy to point you toward a good dentist or a decent pizza place. Come say hello, stop by our Next Steps table, and let us help you feel a little more at home in Mattawan.

Try Church With Us!

That's the honest version of who we are — no gimmicks, no fine print, just an open door. If you're planning to come, letting us know ahead of time helps us have a seat (and a friendly face) ready for you, but it's entirely optional — you're welcome to just show up.
